Who We Serve
-
I love working with young people because I truly am a kid at heart. I see creativity though art, dance, and play to be key in helping children make meaning of their emotions and experiences, I work with children and families on nurturing parent-child relationships be increasing feelings of connection and understanding. I work with children on identifying and regulating their emotions, in addition to increasing self confidence and enhancing social skills.

I first experienced the magic of therapy in my own treatment as an adolescent. I deeply understand the value of having a nonjudgmental, listening ear during such a pivotal time of development. Adolescence is a time in which teens navigate developmental, relational, social, and academic challenges. Today’s teens receive countless messages from peers, family members, and social media about what they should look like or who they should become.
I use a strengths-based approach in helping teens craft their own narratives while fostering a greater sense of one’s self and values. Whether it be staying up to date on the latest Snapchat news or TikTok trends, I take genuine interest into the passions of young people to ensure that my interventions are fun and relatable.

There are many inherent challenges that come along with being a young adult. Whether it’s moving away from home, going to college, starting your first job, dealing with the pain of a breakup, navigating changing friendships, or figuring out who you want to be in this world, your twenties and early thirties are both a beautiful and chaotic time of change, growth, and self-discovery.

The modern day midlife crisis comes in many shapes and sizes. It can look like experiencing mental health symptoms for the first time, mid-life, feeling isolated in singleness or in marriage, struggling with identity outside of work or the home, managing changing roles with aging parents, or managing emotions around life looking a little different than one expected. Therapeutic intervention in this stage of life looks like a dance with acceptance and hope, finding meaning in the middle, denouncing the lie that your best days are behind you.
